I am a Professor in the UCC School of Computer Science & Information Technology.

My primary teaching and research interests lie in the area of computer networking, especially wireless networking. Projects that I have supervised include those related to video streaming, drones, location-based applications and network performance. I am happy to consider projects proposed by students that relate to computer networking - please do contact me to discuss.

I am the current Director of UCC's nasc research centre, which is a group of approximately 50 people conducting research into computer networks, security and systems, funded by companies, the EU and various state agencies.
