My name is Laura Maye and my research interests include human-centred computing, particularly in the areas of cultural heritage, community engagement, rural/urban settings and healthcare. My application is primarily qualitative; I have strong experience applying user centred design, collaborative design, ethnography and action research methodologies to explore how technologies can be designed and implemented in different contexts. Types of technologies I have designed and evaluated in such contexts including tangible computing applications, virtual/AR/Mixed reality games and guides, and computer applications.
